Our right to protest and the impact on national use of biometric scanners

The Racial Justice Network and Yorkshire Resist, in conjunction with Queen Mary University, are planning a collective conversation event for the launch of our most recent report analysing national FOI data on the biometric fingerprinting device.

We will cover the main findings in our reports, with speakers covering the wider implications of increasing police powers on communities and civil liberties, the ethical concerns surrounding use of the devices and increased state surveillance. 

Speakers include:

The speakers will be followed by a moderated question and answer section.
